ABOUT

After studying art history, George Taylor worked as a designer and illustrator before co-founding Fratelli Brothers with fellow composer Richard Heacock in the mid 1990s. They were joined by guitarist and writer Neill Maccoll and, briefly, James McNally from Afro Celt Sound System. The team scored over 300 shows for UK film and television in all genres, though they were best known for their work on BBC Arena, Channel 4's 1900 House, Grand Designs and landmark series Seven Wonders of the Industrial World and Robert Hughes' Beyond the Fatal Shore.

Since 2004 George Taylor has worked as noh1, continuing to score for TV and film in the UK and overseas. Clients include BBC, Channel 4, ITV, Discovery and National Geographic, as well as the corporate sector. In 2008 he became a full member of PRS.

Alongside soundtrack work, noh1 works as a writer, music producer and mixer, working with artists as diverse as Eddi Reader, Boo Hewerdine,

Miles Hunt and The Wonder Stuff, Hans-Joachim Roedelius, Broadcaster, Eoin Glackin, The Ting Tings and Cardboard.
